Dylan is Seven: A Paw-ty ๐ถ๐พ + The Rainbow Bench ๐
Itโs hard to believe that itโs been seven years since our world was flipped upside down for the better when our baby boy made his arrival! Dylan Archer, our first rainbow baby filled our quiet home with laughter, cries [Iโm pretty sure he was colic], joy and FUN! He has always had the most infectious belly laugh, inquisitive personality and kind heart. He is a lighthearted freespirit, firecracker and a wise old soul all in one.
His kindness was evident when he came home from school last week announcing he had made a new friend. During recess that day he noticed a little girl named Bea sitting on the โrainbow bench.โ Dylan explained that the rainbow bench is a designated spot for kids to sit then they feel sad or lonely notifying staff and students alike that a classmate feels down. He approached Bea and asked if she wanted to be friends and since then have played often together. Stories like this one show how compassionate and caring my son is.
To celebrate the occasion, we had a small gathering with my in-laws due to this ongoing pandemic with a puppy themed โpaw-ty.โ Dylan is low-key obsessed with dogs as we pick ours up in a few months!
Dylan we love you, your laugh, your plethora of questions, your deep desire for justice, your loyalty, your love of board games and most of all your loving nature! Happy 7th Birthday! Itโs an honour to be your mom.
