I'm Kristin.  I am a wife, designer, Christian and for now a SAHM.  My husband and I are parents to three kids- Dylan Archer, Kyler Jude and Noelle Rose. Despite the name, this isn’t a mommy blog and you won’t find sponsored content here. Ultimately my goal is to leave it as a legacy to my children and possibly anyone else who wishes to follow my journey. This little corner of the web documents my family's adventures and lessons I've learned along the way.  The Mom Jungle is a modern interpretation of both the family newsletter and scrapbook.

I call this The Mom Jungle because motherhood is fun and messy, filled with laughter and sometimes heartache… it truly is a jungle out there!

Canada Day 2016

Canada Day 2016

... True North Strong and Free.

This lyric from Canada's national anthem perfectly encapulates my native land.  Since living abroad, I have a newfound appreciation for my home.  From it's receptive multiculturalism, political and economic stability, overly polite culture ["sorry" about the not-so humble brag!], majestic scenery and yummy food [Mmm.... maple syrup or poutine anyone?], Canada is a truly magnificent place to live.

Before having kids, I would spend the day at the beach, followed by spectacular fireworks over the water. Fast-forward a few years, we decided the logistics of juggling the kids coupled with today's icky weather just wasn't worth it.  Instead we opted to have a quiet day at home as a family.  These simple moments with my loves are the ones I will treasure the most.

Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦
