Meet Maple!

Introducing our four-legged addition, Maple! She’s our ten-week old Miniature Labradoodle also known as a Cobberdog. We absolutely love her and although pet ownership comes with a steep learning curve, we cannot imagine our family without her!

In no way was this a spontaneous decision or a “corona puppy.'“ This has been in the works for a couple years waiting for our kids to get to a certain age, finding a reputable breeder, acquiring an incredible vet, signing up for puppy insurance, shopping and making our home a safe haven for Maple, researching tons, consulting my fellow pet parent friends and friends/family working in the vetrinatian field, enrolling in puppy school… etc. Even with all the preparation, we have continually had to tweak things. I’m discovering a new trick or hack daily. The most challenging task is not training a puppy, but training my kids to be around a puppy. We are finding our groove and while Instagram may show cute snapshots of adorable animals, pet ownership is a big responsibility but thankfully even more rewarding.

We love you Mapes! We are pinching ourselves that we get to be your forever family. You complete us. And you’re so gosh darn cute, but let’s stop chewing on Mom’s cushions mmmmkay?
