"... she was described as godly, gracious, gentle, generous and the glue that kept her family together."
I'm Kristin. I am a wife, designer, Christian and for now a SAHM. My husband and I are parents to three kids- Dylan Archer, Kyler Jude and Noelle Rose. Despite the name, this isn’t a mommy blog and you won’t find sponsored content here. My target audience is actually my children when they grow up if they wish to reflect on their childhood so everything I share has them at the forefront of my mind and secondly those who wish to follow along my journey. I created this space to document my family's adventures and lessons I've learned along the way. The Mom Jungle is a modern interpretation of both the family newsletter and scrapbook.
I call this The Mom Jungle because motherhood is fun and messy, filled with laughter and sometimes heartache… it truly is a jungle out there!

"Having a two-year-old is like having a blender that you don't have the top for." - Jerry Seinfeld
As we launch into September, kids are back to school, yellow buses occupy our streets and we all are finding our rhythm as we’re back to the grind. Even though I am not returning to the classroom, I utilize this transitional season as a time of reflection and catalyst for change. As much as I love easy, breezy and carefree summer days, I crave routine....
An afternoon baby shower fit for a princess.
Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...
While my story doesn't feel like much of a story, it is my story. It is one that I should embrace. Staying the course takes bravery, courage and is often less traveled.
I need to prioritize sleep as my entire health hinges on being adequately rested.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead

Check out my Baby #2 must haves.
Today started like any other day. It’s officially spring and in true form I am watching water droplets stream down my windowpane, washing away the last traces of winter. [That is until the weekend as snow is on it’s way. #CanadianProblems]. The boys are down for their nap and I am enjoying a few moments of solitude with a mug full of freshly brewed coffee.
It was an ordinary day until I realized that today is the four-year mark of my first miscarriage...
Recently a couple of moms have complimented me on how I discipline my child. I was more flattered that they focused on that instead of my toddler's tantrums!
“Toddlers” and “sleep” combined are two words that can trigger many questions, frustrations and emotions for any young parent. I am no exception...
Dylan is now TWO! I never truly understood how time flies until I became a parent. Birthdays are bittersweet milestones… okay mostly sweet, but there’s a gnawing ache in my heart as I realize just how quickly my firstborn is growing up! With that said, it’s not everyday that you turn two so a party was in order!
